Abstract
Use of the proposed factor structure of the Temperament Assessment Battery for diagnosis of learning disabled children's temperament was examined. Data were collected from 99 parents and 77 teachers, who were asked to rate their LD children and students, respectively. Confirmatory factor analysis using a maximum likelihood solution was applied to the data. Results indicated that the proposed factor structure does not fit the data from teachers. For parent data, goodness-of-fit approached acceptable levels. It was recommended that diagnosis of LD children's temperament not be made on the basis of the eight temperament constellations derived from the factor structure.
