The Speed of Information Processing Test for the blind in a tactile version

Abstract

This article describes a two-year project (1990-92) which set out to produce a tactile version of an existing psychometric test and establish its feasibility for use with blind children. It gives an overview of the origins, aims and findings of the project, and discusses its implications for the education of blind school-age children.
