Abstract
Attitudes of 39 ministers toward the overpopulation problem were determined by a sample survey. Most ministers ex hibited a strong other-world orientation toward the problem. Both the causes and the solutions of the problem were viewed as residing outside the realm of human activity. Moreover, the majority of the ministers did not feel threatened by the problem. Clergymen's strong other-world orientations were viewed as in compatible with developing viable social solutions to the over population problem.
