Abstract
The relationships between the Gesell School Readiness Test and standardized achievement and intelligence measures were examined. The scores of 152 children on the Gesell Screening Test administered before kindergarten, and the full Gesell School Readiness Test administered at the end of kindergarten, and again at the end of first grade were correlated with each other, as well as with the scores from the Stanford Achievement Test and the Otis Lennon Mental Ability Test. These correlations were generally low; further study of the Gesell School Readiness Test, its reliability, and validity for predicting future school success is recommended.
