Abstract
A job satisfaction questionnaire was developed, and 485 special educators responded to its dissemination. The group included teachers of the mentally retarded, learning disabled, emotionally disturbed, and severely handicapped. A factor analysis of the data resulted in seven factors. An analysis of variance of the factors by group indicated differences between groups on factors dealing with Behavior Management Skills, Working Conditions and Leadership Opportunities. Demographic and biographical data did not appear to be related to the factors. Data are provided for normative purposes.
