Abstract
Results of discriminant analyses are of restricted value in the counseling setting because discriminant functions often lack psychological interpretability. Proposed is a technique for obtaining rotated discriminant function scores which should have the clarity of meaning as do rotated factors from factor analyses. This technique is successfully illustrated with data for the prediction of graduating college majors from aptitude, achievement and interest measures obtained in high school.
