Abstract
Study abroad programs provide rich cultural experiences. To enhance pedagogical knowledge and teaching skills, six graduate students, accompanied by one professor engaged in an interdisciplinary educational immersion program in Kenya. This intercultural and interdisciplinary program was extremely beneficial to the students as they pursued their graduate degree, which is aligned to fostering global intercultural perspectives for leadership positions in society. The cultural and linguistic educational experience contributed to the professional development of all who participated, allowing participants to reflect on themselves in another educational environment
