Abstract
This writer looks at some disturbing endencies in the content of the curriculum and in curriculum decision making. These tendencies, he says, can only be clearly seen if we have a sense of educational history and an understanding of what is happening in the larger society. He also points out a number of positive movements hat are now emerging and makes a few suggestions for furthering these positive trends.
