Abstract
This article responds to a challenge to examine my own position as a White theologian, firstly by waking up to its reality, and then by asking what comes afterwards. Two themes are examined: the role and the priority of experience in how we ‘do’ theology; and more broadly, how theological knowledge is constructed. From the elevation of my ‘White Highlands’, I ponder a suitable response.
