2. Leonard I. Pearlin is Graduate Professor of Sociology at the University of Maryland, College Park. His research over the years has focused on the conditions and mechanisms that help to account for the relationships between status locations and well-being.
3. Stephen C. Meersman is a sociologist for the Surveillance Research Program in the Office of the Associate Director at the National Cancer Institute. His research focuses on social determinants of cancer using applied spatial methodologies. He uses a multilevel approach to understanding the association of community and contextual factors and cancer-related health disparities.
