1. Markus H. Schafer is a graduate student at Purdue University, having recently completed his M.S. in Sociology. His research interests include the antecedents and consequences of adult obesity, age stratification, and the accumulation of inequality over the life course.
2. Kenneth F. Ferraro is Professor of Sociology and Director of the Center on Aging and the Life Course at Purdue University. His recent research focuses on cumulative disadvantage and health, especially between white Americans and African Americans. Recent publications appear in the American Sociological Review, Journal of Health and Social Behavior, and Social Forces. He is currently editor of the Journal of Gerontology: Social Sciences.
