Abstract
This paper examines the practical implications of Internet use by career counsellors and their clients. It is set within the broader context of the use of career information in career counselling. A review of relevant literature and Internet sites and interviews with practicing counsellors are used. The study emphasises the importance of information literacy and access for practitioners and their clients, the value of a diversity of formats for career-related information, and suggests that the values underlying career information be given more attention than in the past. It underlines the optimal use of such information through the facilitative practitioner-client relationship.
