Abstract

Objective: To highlight the issues pertaining to ongoing professional education in multidisciplinary mental health services, and provide a framework in which this can occur. Conclusions: Ongoing education in multidisciplinary mental health services is a worthwhile objective. Clinician diversity, effective staff engagement and costs need to be taken into account when considering the variety of achievable ways a service can facilitate ongoing education for clinical staff.
