Abstract
Mount Royal University journalism faculty and their program's assigned librarian are collaborating to provide an integrated and incremental suite of information literacy and research skills development sessions to students across all four years of their bachelor's degree in communication/journalism program. The goal was to replace the traditional one-off journalism tools course with an integrated just-in-time approach to research education that builds students' skills as they move through the four-year degree program. This essay outlines how this approach was adopted and developed; its benefits to students, faculty, and the library; and its potential value to other journalism programs.
