Abstract
This paper considers that the preparation of curriculum extension project packs is one effective way of catering for the needs of exceptional children in the classroom. Segregation and labelling are avoided and if pupils are encouraged to choose from the projects available, the projects provide a means of identifying exceptional ability through performance rather than test procedures.
