Abstract
This paper summarises the main methods and findings of a new book on effective professional development. In the book the model which is presented here is applied to recent government initiatives (UK) such as the KS1 and 2 (primary Yrs 1 to 6) and KS3 (secondary Yrs 7,8) strategies.
