Abstract
Responding to growing concerns about genetically modified (GM) foods, the United Kingdom (UK) government launched a broad national dialogue to help determine whether GM crops should be commercially grown in the UK. This report describes the initiative, said to be the largest public consultation to date in the UK on a science issue.
