Abstract

A flow curve generated by pressurized Couette viscometry clearly shows the presence of polymer in a traction fluid used for traction simulations. This finding was supported by experimental film thickness comparisons with the base oil. Insights regarding the effect of polymer additives on film thickness were obtained from idealized calculations.
