Abstract
The present study is devoted to the development of a method given in Reference [1] for determining the final expressions of bending and transverse shear stresses of a sandwich panel loaded by point forces continuously distributed along its width. The procedure for refining the displacements of a symmetric sandwich panel with respect to middle plane is based on separating summands, which take into account the cylindrical and membrane rigidities of the face layers, transverse rigidities of the core in shear and compression-separately. Analytical estimates of bending stresses at the central section. shear stresses close to the central and support sections of each layer of the panel are deduced. For the estimation of the concentration of the transverse shear stress, the possibility of a superposition of the solution of the slippage problem of the face layers and the classical solution allowing for shear is substantiated.
