Abstract
Residential schools for blind and visually impaired students have always considered music programs to be a vital component of their education of students. This article reports on the authors’ 1988 survey of music programs in residential schools and presents information on teachers, materials, course offerings, accomplishments, goals, and administrative concerns. Suggestions for the enhancement of music programs are made in light of the survey.
