Abstract
Attitudinal barriers for visually handicapped people may have their roots in religious beliefs. Professionals in the field of visually handicapped have a responsibility to deal with attitudinal change, and to provide the expertise that facilitates such a change. This article explores the relationship between religion, religious attitudes and blindness, and suggests a means of changing historically negative attitudes. A model is presented for providing a seminar for religious leaders.
