Sul Trattamento Del Carcinoma Uterino e Delle Diffusioni Parametrali Con la Telecobaltoterapia

Abstract

In the present paper account is given to the different methods of telecobaltotherapy of the uterus, parametrium and pelvic lymph nodes, both in patients previously submitted to radiumtherapy and in untreated ones. The method of choice is still the pendulum therapy with double axis of rotation. Another method is however suggested which, owing to its easy performance, may be employed on a large scale: the employ of two opposite fields, with medial protection of the lower half of the field. The isodoses constructed on the puppet and those employed in order to obtain in the patients the isodoses curves with different sizes of the antero-posterior diameter are presented.
