Abstract
The experiences of nine U. S. business school graduates in organizations in Colombia, South America, were studied from the perspective of establishing and effecting organizational change roles. job continuation and satisfaction were related to congruity of initial expectations between the individual and his organization, and the individual's adaptive behavioral style. The absence of either condition led to job termination or extended dissatisfaction. Other conclusions relate to the dynamics of initial and subsequent personal approach or style, the conditions necessary for the most influential change role, and factors involved in expert and personal influence within the assistants' roles.
