Abstract
THE PRIMARY purpose of the study was to ascer tain the effect of student enrolment and the per ceptions of principals on alcohol use or abuse. The result revealed that principals of secondary schools in Bendel State, Nigeria have a negative perception on alcohol use or abuse. Also it was found that there was no significant relationship between student enrolment and the perceptions of principals on alcohol use or abuse.
