Abstract
This article describes the results of a statewide investigation of Individualized Transition Plans (ITPs). The investigation reviewed 329 ITPs using an instrument developed by the Louisiana Statewide Transition Project. The instrument contained four sections: (a) demographics, (b) format of the transition services page, (c) Individual with Disabilities Education Act's (IDEA) definition of transition services and Louisiana's eleven suggested target areas for transition planning, and (d) valued practices described in current literature.
