Abstract

Young at-risk children can enter a group academic setting as confident learners well prepared for assimilating academic skills. If careful attention is given to prioritizing prerequisites and providing underlying preparedness, direct bridges to academic success may be built. The article describes strategies of major interest to preschool/kindergarten teachers and clinicians.
