Abstract
The presence of behavior problems can be one of the greatest obstacles to the normalization and education of individuals with handicaps. The Early Intervention Program, Department of Behavioral Psychology at the Kennedy Institute and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, is a demonstration, research, and training program focused on the primary and secondary prevention of serious childhood behavior problems. Four assessment and intervention protocols are briefly described. Judgment-based assessment procedures are described in detail and discussed.
