1. ROBERT D. SCHWEITZER is head of the Counselling Service within the Department of Counseling and Health, Queensland University of Technology. He received his PhD in psychology from Rhodes University, South Africa. His current professional work and interests include transcultural psychology, psychopathology across the life span, and mental health issues confronting students. He is a registered clinical psychologist with an interest in short-term psychodynamic psychotherapy.
2. SALLY J. HIER is a community correctional officer of the Queensland Corrective Services Commission. She has a postgraduate diploma in psychology from the University of Queensland and is a registered psychologist. Her current professional interests include community-based rehabilitation of offenders.
3. DEBORAH TERRY is a lecturer in social psychology in the Department of Psychology at the University of Queensland. She gained a first-class honours degree in psychology and obtained her PhD from the Australian National University. She has published in the areas of health psychology, stress and coping, and attitude-behavior relations.
