Abstract
Creativity, during the preschool years, is discussed in this review of the literature. The author presents information on creativity and its assessment and includes research studies which have explored various aspects of creativity. The manuscript largely deals with play and its importance in facilitating creative development. A few practical suggestions for facilitating creativity in young children are offered and recommendations for further research are made.
