Abstract
The aerial parts of Litchi chinensis Gaertn. (Sapindaceae) yielded one new pentacyclic triterpene [lup-12, 20(29) diene-3, 27-diol], along with the known compounds betulinic acid, lupeol, betulin, β-sitosterol, and stigmasterol. The structures of the compounds were established by spectroscopic methods.
