Abstract
This paper examines the transnational nature of organized crime in Hong Kong and its impact on other countries under the forthcoming reversion of Hong Kong to China in 1997. The "push" and "pull" factors are offered to explain the dilemma tnads and organized crime in Hong Kong are faced in determining whether they will stay or leave. The speculation that Chinese Triads and organized crime will fill the same role as traditional organized crime in the United States is disputed.
