Abstract
In responding to a questionnaire, over one-third of the 189 patients who answered expressed difficulties in attending for appointments during normal departmental hours. An amended timetable was run as a pilot study for 2 months, reducing missed appointments from 14.62% to 10.81%. Subsequently, additional alterations to the timetable reduced missed appointments further, to 9.74%.
