Abstract
This article presents a metacognitive approach to cognitive rehabilitation with people suffering from cognitive disabilities because of brain damage. A theoretical model of four stages of a metacognitive learning process is offered. The four stages serve as guidelines for the therapeutic process. The process is demonstrated in this article by the use of a computer game, but it can be applied in any cognitive activity.
