Abstract

This article explores the setting up of a scheme to use microcomputers in the training of mentally handicapped residents living in a hospital. Computers are used at Brentry Hospital as an integral part of the overall programme for training and independence, and the authors feel that they have been a useful addition to other teaching methods. The article tells of their experiences in setting up the use of the computer and how they have progressed over a period of 2 years.
