Abstract
With the increasing commitment of research in occupational therapy, all occupational therapists should endeavour to carry out objective and practical studies, however simple and basic, into various aspects of their work. This article describes a simple study which attempts to measure the amount of resident/staff contact. The result confirmed our informal observations that there is a high percentage of contact between the residents and the staff if the sessions are structured and the staff know what to do with each resident.
