Abstract
This article describes the process of revising the fieldwork assessment procedure for Dorset House School of Occupational Therapy to meet the educational requirements of Oxford Polytechnic * for the award of the BSc degree and honours degree in occupational therapy. The developmental model of skill acquisition in fieldwork, established for the degree course, is subsequently discussed.
