Abstract
The average otolaryngologist is confronted with allergic problems in well over 50% of his patients. It would seem imperative that he either recognize the problem and be able to instigate appropriate therapy himself or refer the patient to someone who can. In the latter case, he should have a basic knowledge which would allow him to evaluate adequately the therapy provided.
