Abstract
Context proves to be a powerful tool for understanding educational organizations, for the professional development of the administrators who lead them, and in the preparation of future administrators. Specific strategies are available and should be expanded for harnessing that power in the analysis of educational settings, in transferring knowledge across settings (both spatially and temporally and in the development of skills appropriate to those settings.
