Abstract
Simulations in foreign language or second language classrooms have been shown to be useful in language acquisition. This article describes a procedure that an English as a second language instructor used to adapt high-profile criminal trials for use in classroom trial simulations. The results showed that the trial simulations helped students improve their communicative language skills, their cultural knowledge, and their social interaction abilities.
