Undergraduate Human Factors Programs: The Need, the Problems, the Outlook

Abstract

Given the Human Factors Society's current interest in accreditation and certification issues, it is important to consider both undergraduate and graduate curriculums in human factors. The purpose of this paper is to develop the point that formal human factors education can begin at the undergraduate level, and to describe one undergraduate program currently offered through the Department of Psychology at Kearney State College.
