Abstract
This contribution examines the anthropometric dimensions of Indian population groups in comparison to other Asian, European and American sample groups. The linear dimensions and segmental weight and volume distributions indicate variations, particularly in the relative proportion of the body segments. Since the Asians in general are smaller in size, these differences have obvious implication in human modeling, and reflect in its application in simulation of human actions and biomechanical analysis.
