Abstract

Cocaine has received much attention in the literature for its effects on the mother/infant pair when used during pregnancy. We describe a neonate who presents with widespread subcutaneous fat necrosis (SCFN), an as-yet-unreported finding that appears to be related to maternal use of cocaine during pregnancy.
