Abstract
Crying in newborn infants usually assumes a definite pattern early, beginning and ending at approximately the same time every day. When not controlled, such fussing sometimes spreads to other hours as well, becoming a habit which can easily upset the entire household. Careful history usually uncovers some flaw in the baby's care. With proper guidance, early management and full cooperation by the parents, crying can usually be eliminated and a protracted course avoided.
