Abstract
The practice of medicine is composed basically of two aspects—diagnosis and treatment. Treatment may be therapeutic or prophylactic, i.e., preventive. The ounce of prevention, according to Benjamin Franklin, is better than the pound of cure. Blindness is either preventable or unavoidable.
