Abstract
Tropical Africa is unlike any other part of the world, and the problems of understanding the commercial systems of the area can be frustrating. Various physical, economic, and social factors lead to marketing procedures that can be radically unusual. This author analyzes and describes the marketing patterns and techniques found in Nigeria, and outlines some of the changes that are taking place as the country develops.
