Abstract
The integration of business curricula is an important trend in management education that will continue well into the 21st century. Primary approaches for curricular integration are described, and an organizing framework is synthesized. The framework consists of two major dimensions: curriculum context and pedagogical approach, yielding four groups of integrative approaches. The key goals and potential problems associated with each integrative approach are identified and discussed. Finally, a heuristic decision model demonstrates how an institution can narrow its focus to a small set of integrative approaches that are consistent with local preferences regarding goals and constraints.
