Abstract

In this paper some results are presented of a topodynamic analysis of the evolution of the North American urban system. Topodynamic projections are studied in order to characterize the most basic trends of the system. From pure description and forecasting, some foundations are proposed for a topodynamic theory of space polarization which could cast some light on the dynamics of polarization throughout history.
