Abstract
This article discusses the approaches and procedures that have been applied to MRI breast tumor segmentation particularly as well as breast segmentation systems in general. The review begins by outlining the various breast screening methods and contrasting Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) with other methods like Mammography, X-ray, and Ultrasonography. Next, it is emphasized how important Computer Aided Detection (CAD) systems are for Breast MRI. Review and comparison of supervised, unsupervised, and semi-supervised breast MRI tumor segmentation techniques are done. The study concludes with a discussion and recommendations based on the methods examined.
