Abstract

The study is devoted to the study of the influence of the shape of the structure of the roots of chewing teeth restored by root pin tabs on the nature of the distribution of chewing pressure in them. Changes in the values of the stress-strain state of the teeth were determined when choosing the design of the root pin tab with a different number of pins. Using the method of mathematical modeling and clinical and laboratory tests allowed us to formulate the main criteria for choosing the shape of a stump pin tab in a multi-root tooth, depending on the shape of the structure of the roots and the number of pin parts of the root tabs. The determining factors in the distribution of chewing pressure were the length of the pins and the presence of an unloading platform. It was revealed that in multi-root teeth it is preferable to form either root pin tabs with several long pins, or tabs with one long pin and a discharge pad perpendicular to the axis of the tooth. The least rational, from the point of view of load distribution, was the formation of a root pin tab with several short pins.
