Abstract
Average horizontal gradients of gravity observed with the gravity meter may communicate more information than a corresponding number of conventional Bouguer values if local conditions are favorable (Thyssen‐Bornemisza and Stackler, 1960, 1962; Thyssen‐Bornemisza, 1965). Several small experimental profiles of average horizontal gradients of gravity were taken over an area previously surveyed with the magnetometer, as shown in Figure 1.
